Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad Yadav, who underwent a kidney transplant in Singapore last December, will return to India on Saturday. Lalu’s daughter, Rohini Acharya, who had donated a kidney to her father, shared an emotional message on Twitter announcing that the RJD leader would be leaving for India on Saturday.
“Important to say. This important matter concerns the health of our leader Lalu ji. Dad will leave Singapore for India on February 11th.I do my daughter’s homework. After I heal my father I will send it to you all. You are taking care of my father now,” Rohini Acharya tweeted.
Lalu Yadav underwent a kidney transplant at a Singapore hospital last December. Minister Tejashwi Yadav of Bihar tweeted: Switching from surgery to intensive therapy.The donor’s older sister, Rohini Acharya, and the leader of the national party are both in good health. Thank you for your prayers and good wishes.”

“The doctors wanted a family member to donate a kidney to my father. My sister Rohini’s kidney was the best solution, so we went for it,” Tejashwi told reporters in Patna Lalu, 74, has been suffering from acute kidney complications for some time and doctors recommended a kidney transplant
His daughter Rohini volunteered as donor, and at her insistence, the family chose Singapore for the operation.Rohini Acharya is married to Rao Samresh Singh who is an engineer by profession and lives in Singapore. The couple have two sons and a daughter.
