Taiwan was displayed on Wednesday the most sophisticated fighter jet, F-16V which was equipped with missiles, in a rare night demonstration after Chinese military training that had never happened before around the island.
Beijing gradually the days of air and sea training in the Taiwan Strait this month after a visit by the US Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Congress delegation to the region of the island that was governed by itself.
Taipei has done his own training to simulate the defense against the invasion by China and on Wednesday Air Force personnel contain F-16V fighters with US anti-capal missiles in “combat readiness” exercises at the Air Base in East Hualien Regency.
Six F-16Vs then departed for night surveillance and training missions, including two armed with missiles, according to the Taiwan Air Force.
“In the face of threats from the new Chinese communist military exercise, we remain vigilant while setting the concept of ‘battlefield everywhere and training anytime’ … to ensure national security,” he said in a statement.
Taiwan lives under the threat of continuous invasion by China, which claims the island that is democratically controlled as part of its territory to be seized one day, by force if necessary.
Taipei accused Beijing of using a trip with the highest-selected pelSi-officials to be visited in several decades-various reasons to start training that enabled him to practice for invasion.
Taiwan has increased the old warrior fleet in recent years, because the fear of military action by Beijing has increased and because the Air Force is stored under constant pressure by Chinese attacks which are more frequent in air defense zones.
In November, the island mobilized the first F-16V squadron made by US-Verse which was increased and far more sophisticated than other F-16 fighters, originating from the 1990s.
The F-16V agreement was approved by the administration of US President Donald Trump when he disagreed with China on a number of problems, but his successor Joe Biden had defended similar support for Taipei.
