Prakash Raj (his real family name was Raj, he was advised to change to Raj when he entered the Tamil film industry), born on March 26, 1965, in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He went to St. High School. Joseph’s HIGH SCHOOL and College of Commerce St. Joseph. He began his career in 1990 with Bisuru Kuduro television shows. He made a feature film debut with Ramachari a Kannada Movie released in 1990.
His role in Harakeya Kuri released in 1992 was considered a breakthrough show. He made the Tamil film debut in 1994 with a duet. In 1997 he starred in Iruvar where he won a national award. He made a direct debut in 2010 with the Naanu Nanna Kanasu film which was the biggest blow of the year.
He gained fame by playing an antagonist in films as would be released in 2009 and Singham released in 2011. Since then he has starred in various Bollywood films.
