Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the state on Thursday on the completion of 1 year of the new National Education Policy (NEP) via video conferencing. He also will launch multiple initiatives within the education sector.
The NEP, 2020, may be a guiding philosophy for changing the training landscape, making education holistic and for building strong foundations for an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. On 29th July, on the completion of 1 year of reforms under the NEP, PM Shri @narendramodi will address the state ,” Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Twitter on Monday.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), PM Modi will launch the tutorial bank of credit which will provide multiple entry and exit options for college kids in higher education; first year engineering programmes in regional languages and guidelines for internationalization of upper education.
The initiatives to be launched also include Vidya Pravesh, a three-month play-based school preparation module for Grade 1 students; Indian signing as a topic at secondary level; NISHTHA 2.0, an integrated programme of teacher training designed by NCERT; SAFAL (structured assessment for analysing learning levels), a competency-based assessment framework for Grades 3, 5 and eight in CBSE schools; and an internet site dedicated to AI .
