New Delhi / Kolkata: Mamata Banerjee today was found ₹ 5 Lakh by the Calcutta Hakim High Court Kaushik Chanda, who left the case involving his request to challenge the selection of SUVENDU Adhikari BJP. The head of the Bengal Minister has asked the judge to resign from the case of “conflict of interest”.
Before leaving this case, the judge made a series of observations of anger, accusing MS Banerjee from “steps that are prohibited to defame the judge” and violate their constitutional obligations.
“Calculative, psychological and offensive efforts like that to find researchers’ needs firmly and the cost of ₹ 5 lakh imposed on the applicant,” said Justice Chanda in order.
Mamata Banerjee wants this case to be transferred to a different court when she put Chanda’s justice has a relationship with BJP and will be biased. This case will now be referred to the acting chairman of Judge Rajesh Bindal, who must assign again.
In a letter to the chairman of Justice on June 16, MS Banerjee said that Chanda’s justice was associated with BJP in the past. His letter said there was a “reasonable bias capture … supporting respondents (adhikari suvendu) …”, which is also from BJP.
About the initial association with BJP, Justice Chanda said the judge chose and they had a political point of view but “it was wrong in the bannerjee mamata section to think that a judge could not let go of his duties as one just because he chose a political party or another”.
