New Delhi: Reported talks between Shiv Sena and BJP, which can lead to re-arrangement in Maharashtra, is believed to be a factor in holding the expansion of the Cabinet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expected every day now.
According to a report, a possible agreement in the discussion was for Devendra Fadnivis (considered the main rival to Maharashtra Minister Uddhav Thackeray) to move to Delhi as Minister in the PM Modi Cabinet and for Uddhav Thackeray to continue as the main minister with two BJP deputies.
But the source of BJP denies this, claiming delays in the expansion of the cabinet is not related to the development of Maharashtra.
In fact, sources say there is no question to approve any formula where Mr Fadnivis does not return as the main minister. Party leadership, they said, would not compromise in this case because BJP won the Sena Shiv seat almost doubled in Maharashtra in the 2019 election.
Mr. Fadnivis, also, explicitly denied such a step and insisted he would remain in Maharashtra.
“In BJP, only the prime minister who took the final decision. Whatever he determines, everyone accepts. The party gave me the role of opposition leaders in Maharashtra, which I did strongly. I don’t think there is a need for it I go to Delhi. Party Will decide, “Fadnivis told reporters last week, reacted to speculation turn to the United Cabinet.
While this seems to have put a payment on every patch-up opportunity, the BJP source said the conversation between the two parties was still on. If both parties gather, Sena Shiv can be adjusted in the cabinet later, they said.
BJP leaders said that there was a wider feeling among party workers that both had to gather and they were organic alliances. They also refer to corruption allegations that the Government of Uddhav Thackeray fought because of Ally NCP Anil Deshmukh. The minister’s chairman is not comfortable with this situation, the leaders said.
BJP and Shiv Sena were allies for 25 years before their split for sharing power in Maharashtra.
One-one-on-one PM Modi and Uddhav Thackeray discussion after the meeting on June 8 on Maharashtra’s relevant problems first set a buzz reunion.
Recently, the leader of Sena Shiv Sanjay Raut also met BJP’s Ashish Shelan.
Mr. Raut, who described PM Modi as “the top leader of the country” after Thackeray-PM meeting, said the bond between Sena and BJP was still intact, no matter what their politics.
“We are not India-Pakistan. Look at Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, it’s like them. Our political ways (Shiv Sena, BJP) are different but friendship will remain intact,” said MP Sena today, referring to Aamir’s actor. Khan’s announcement about family ties does not change with divorce.
For Shiv Sena, the minister of the head was quite important to break up with the oldest ally and hand in hand with the Congress and the Nationalist Congress of the ideologized National Congress (NCP).
