Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai now has a justice connection after marrying Asser Malik, Pakistan Cricket Board’s general director ( high performance).
They tied the knot in Birmingham on Tuesday after a two- time courting. The bridegroom verified the news on Twitter, posting filmland and a communication “ Moment marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be mates for life. We celebrated a small nikkah form at home in Birmingham with our families. Please shoot us your prayers. We’re agitated to walk together for the trip ahead.”
Malik graduated from Aitchison College in Lahore and after advanced studies at Lahore University, took to entrepreneurship. Justice has always been his passion.
“ I know Asser professionally. What I can tell you is that he used to work for a justice league which is called the LMS – Last Man Stands. It’s an amateur justice league, veritably successful in Pakistan and he’s a vital figure in the LMS, contributing to it getting the largest amateur justice league in Pakistan,” Rehan-ul-Haq, general director of Pakistan Super League (PSL) ballot Islamabad United, told this paper.
We were thrilled and humbled to have @Malala as one of our guests at the #CWC19 opening party in London last night.@ZAbbasOfficial spoke with this inspirational young lady who is a huge fan of @TheRealPCB bowlers – especially @realha55an and @76Shadabkhan #WeHaveWeWill 🇵🇰 pic.twitter.com/ePFVyrmNwI

Latterly, Malik came director, special systems and entertainment, at Multan Sultans, another PSL ballot. “ Piecemeal from amateur justice, Asser has been involved with grassroots justice in Pakistan for quite some time. He started grassroots justice, experimental work in low- income areas in southern Punjab. When Multan Sultans were resold, at that time he came associated with the ballot before moving to the PCB,” Haider Azhar, principal operating officer at Multan Sultans, told The Indian Express.
Despite fellowship, Azhar did n’t have any indication about the Malik-Malala relationship. But he’s veritably happy for the couple. Praise for his friend was genuine “ A thorough gentleman with an excellent educational background.”
Countersign for Malik came from other sources as well.
“ He’s from Lahore. He’s a good joe,” former Pakistan Cricket Board president Ehsan Mani told The Indian Express.

Malala, a girl from the Swat Valley in Pakistan, has been the face of social activism and women’s right to education ever since she was shot in the head by a member of the Taliban when she defied the directive to ban girls from going to seminaries. She was 15 times old also. The Nobel Peace Prize came two times latterly in 2014, making her the youthful- ever to get the honour.
Little wonder also that the marriage brought an overflow of congratulatory dispatches from across the world. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was one of the early catcalls, twittering “ Congratulations, Malala and Asser! Sophie and I hope you enjoyed your special day – we ’re wishing you a continuance of happiness together.”
British politician Nick Gibb twittered “ Congratulations! What awful news.” Apple CEO Tim Cook wrote “ Congratulations to you and Asser! Wishing you all the stylish as you begin your new life together.” Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’sex-wife Jemima Goldsmith offered her stylish wishes “ Congratulations and mashallah x”.
