Mumbai: The rain of unrelenting for the past 24 hours has caused a devastating flood in several parts of Maharashtra, with three flood districts and two districts facing a situation such as flooding. This is the heaviest mantra of rain in the state in July in 40 years. The Navy has been canceled for rescue and evacuation.
Some teams of personnel force response disaster (NDRF) have also been deployed for rescue operations in the KONKAN region. While Ratnagiri, Raigad, Kolhapur Regency was flooded, Sangli and Amravati faced a situation like a flood.
More than 50 percent of the coastal city of Chiplun in Ratnagiri, about 250 km from Mumbai and have a population of more than 70,000, has sunk in the flood waters, the PTI news agency reported.
The scary video from Chiplun shows some people who try to attract a woman from the flood area using what seems to be a rope. The woman stuck to the rope when she was pulled, but right when she approached the building terrace, the savior lost the handle and she fell into the water.
Some people lost after landslides in Raigad, who also leads to a blocked road.

Chairman of Maharashtra Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday held an emergency meeting to take a stock of the situation and request a disaster management unit and another department responsible for remaining vigilant and immediately started the rescue operation.
