First of all, let me clarify that the Maharani web series is inspired by true events. within the 1990s, Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Chief Minister of Bihar, who was the primary and only sitting Chief minister to travel to jail, he instates his wife Rabri Devi as chief minister before getting to jail.

The “Maharani” web series story revolves around a village woman, Rani Bharti whose life changes overnight. Rani Bharti may be a homemaker and her husband may be a Chief Minister of Bihar. While her Chief Minister husband is busy in politics, she takes care of her three children and manages all the household work single-handedly.

The twist within the story comes, when Rani’s husband decided to resign their CM’s position and makes an announcement where he declares that his wife becomes subsequent Chief Minister of Bihar.

She first refuses to simply accept the offer, but eventually , she accepts to require the oath because the next Chief Minister of Bihar.

What will happen next?

Will she be ready to manage the role of Chief Minister and therefore the surrounding conspiracy?
